Jordan Fitness Training Academy Manager ‘Mark Laws’ attended Sole Fitness in Leicester last week to hold a functional training workshop that was in partnership with Cybex and Jordan Fitness.

Mark delivered 3 functional fitness workshops to members of the Sole Fitness Gym team and their customers.

After a recent installation of a wall rig from Cybex, which is equipped with a large range of Jordan Fitness functional equipment Mark was invited to demonstrate how to get the best from this space.   The workshops included Kettlebells, Jungle Gym XT suspension systems, Medicine Balls, Core Plate and Power Bands.

Mark Laws Training Academy Manager at Jordan Fitness said, “I was really pleased to be invited by Rob Thurston from Cybex to come along and teach these workshops. It’s great to see a gym with a huge bodybuilding background adopting some functional training methods to add to the service they can provide to their customers. This is a really well run gym that has a great deal to offer, they thoroughly deserved their shortlisted nomination for Newcomer of the Year at this year’s National Fitness Awards.”

Rob Thurston, Cybex UK commercial director, said: “We’ve worked closely with Jordan Fitness for a number of years, delivering REPs accredited courses and training workshops to Cybex customers across the UK.

“As one of our UK showcase sites, Sole Fitness was the perfect location for the recent functional fitness workshops, which were very well received by all who attended. It’s a great facility with a fantastic range of equipment catering to all training interests and abilities and the workshops ensure staff and members are able to make best use of the equipment available.”

Opened in spring 2013, Sole Fitness includes a group fitness studio, beauty salon and sauna facilities alongside the state-of-the-art gym.
