This March saw Jordan Fitness kit out the newly refurbished Bannatyne Healthclubs in Manchester and Darlington.

The Bannatyne Group has invested £700k to refurbish clubs such as Whitworth Street and Quay Street in Manchester with a state-of-the-art Functional Training area. Jordan worked with Bannatyne’s from inception to installation to turn a tired looking area, which encompassed a few functional training products, into a state of the art Functional Training Zone.

Graham Hill, North West Regional Manager at Bannatyne Fitness, said: “Bannatyne Fitness is a growing company which continually strives for excellence in its Health Clubs.

“Continually investing in the latest equipment is hugely important because it ensures that members are always able to access the very best and most up-to-date fitness technology to help them achieve their personal fitness goals.

“I am certain that members will enjoy the new, enhanced facilities.”

The new gyms feature Pro Sandbags, Plyoboxes, Ignite Dumbbells, Neoprene Kettlebells and more in their new functional training areas. The new equipment will allow club members to improve their flexibility, mobility, balance and strength.

As part of the continued investment into their existing facilities, Bannatyne Health and Fitness have recently tasked Jordan Fitness to revamp the mezzanine area at their Darlington site.

Featured products include our New Ignite Functional Training Rig and the revolutionary Powerwave. The PowerWave is the latest product to be introduced at Jordan Fitness. It features a revolutionary 20-minute workout program for the entire body, working on posture, core strength and endurance. The Powerwave will now also feature in the Studio meaning that Darlington will be the first club in the North-East to be running these classes.

Sue Stockdale, General Manager at Bannatyne’s Health Club in Darlington, said: “Functional training is the way that the industry is progressing and focuses more on training movement patterns rather than isolating individual muscle groups.

We are always looking for new ways to help our members’ progress and reach their fitness goals, and we are looking forward to seeing how the new equipment will benefit them.”

Jordan Training Academy Manager, Mark Laws supported the install by running a functional workshop for the staff at both Manchester and Darlington sites. Jordans’ industry leading education has benefited facility members nationwide and enables staff to make the most of the new equipment.

Bannatyne’s Health Club in Darlington is the latest in a long line of sites to benefit from Jordan equipment, with many others to come as The Bannatyne Group commit to installing functional fitness areas throughout the UK.

Jordan Sales Director, Zak Pitt said, “It’s been a pleasure working with the Bannatyne’s team on this project. It’s fantastic that Bannatyne’s have recognised the requirement for large functional training areas within their facilities in order for their members to achieve the results they desire.”
